My name is Mathias. I’m a Psychologist and behavioral scientist, completing my Ph.D. inExperimental psychology and applied economics at Ghent University.

I am a public speaker and regularly appear in Belgian media to give clarification on various topics on (flaws in) human behavior.

I am co-founder of an startup called ‘Ad Astra Industries’, which creates a python-based, open source & self-healing automation (RPA) software. This company got acquired in 2024.

I recently co-founded a new startup ‘Alkmist’, which aims to revolutionize how financial audits are performed, using behavioral science and cutting edge technology.
